Who We Are: The RoohRaah Story
Our Core Belief
At the RoohRaah Foundation, we operate from a simple yet profound belief: “Everything is perfect, and everything can be improved.” This philosophy guides us in seeing the inherent good in life while continuously striving to develop meaningful connections and align with our shared vision of a happier world.
Our Collective Heart
We are a diverse collective, united by a shared purpose. Our team brings together rich experiences from theatre, the social sector, journalism, education, corporate life, and even purposeful loitering – yes, purposeful loitering! For us, it’s about meandering to discover something meaningful, much like a river finds its course. Together, we are dedicated to creating safe, nourishing spaces where individuals can pause, reflect, and rediscover themselves.
Beyond Productivity
We believe that wellbeing is not merely personal but collective. We honour humans as emotional and creative beings, not as productivity machines. RoohRaah currently operates actively in Indore and Jabalpur, with our extended team supporting expansion from Mumbai, Delhi, and Bhopal. Positioned at the intersection of mental wellbeing, academics, and playful humour, we offer a holistic and accessible approach to personal and collective growth.
Our Mission
To build playful, reflective, and emotionally safe spaces where people can pause, reconnect, and rediscover meaning.
We achieve this by:
- Holding space for inner transformation through community-led experiences.
- Using humour, storytelling, and creativity as core interventions.
- Creating room for joy and slowness as legitimate practices of learning and healing.
- Making emotional wellbeing and intellectual curiosity accessible, not elite.
At the heart of RoohRaah is a commitment to hold both lightness and depth. We don’t offer quick fixes; we nurture inner transformation through community, culture, conversation, and care.
Our Values
- Water-like Presence: Adaptive, gentle, yet powerful. We meet people where they are and evolve with them.
- Playfulness with Depth: Joy is serious business. Play is not an escape from pain, but a powerful way to hold it. We use humour, absurdity, and levity to make space for truth.
- Radical Humility: We show up with curiosity, not ego. We make space for mistakes, apology, and continual self-awareness. Humility is how we lead.
- Human-first, Always: Every program, every gathering, every intention begins with one question: does it honour our humanity?
- Slow is Sacred: We resist urgency. Meaning takes time. Healing takes time. Real connections cannot be rushed. We invite slowness into our rhythm.
Co-creation: We work with people, not on them. We don’t “fix,” we accompany. Our spaces are collaborative, messy, emergent like real life.
